Georgetown's McDonough MBAs Among Highest Earners in Finance, IT Sectors, According to The Financial Times' Annual Ranking of MBA Programs Worldwide

Washington, D.C. -- The latest Financial Times ranking recognizes Georgetown University's McDonough MBA program as among the best in the world. Released today, the second annual Financial Times ranking places McDonough's MBA program at #28 in a ranking of 75 MBA programs worldwide, up six places from last year's ranking.

The ranking also listed the top ten schools in various categories. In two of the categories, salaries in finance and salaries in information technology, McDonough MBA alumni ranked fourth and sixth respectively. Writing about investment bankers' salaries, Financial Times business education reporter Della Bradshaw noted, "At Harvard, the 43 respondents reported an average salary of $223,100, closely followed by the Sloan School at MIT, the McDonough School at Georgetown University, and Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania, where alumni earn an average of more than $200,000."

"Our ranking in the Financial Times highlights the value of a McDonough MBA in the marketplace and the respect the MBA program commands internationally," says Christopher Puto, dean of the McDonough School.
